Anaqua Acquires Actio IP to Offer Integrated Tech-Enabled Foreign Filing Solutions

Acquisition expands Anaqua’s offerings with easy-to-use platform, supported by exceptional customer service, to help IP practitioners streamline their global filings process

The transaction further strengthens Anaqua’s strategic line of IP management solutions, offering corporations and law firms an intuitive, transparent, and efficient experience in managing the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) National Phase and European Patent (EP) Validation filing processes.

Anaqua will continue to enhance Actio IP’s tech-enabled foreign filing services platform, ACTIO Portal, while significantly investing in the integration of the services with Anaqua’s IP management software and payment services. Actio IP, which also offers IP renewals, will add incremental volume to Anaqua’s existing payments business.

Branded ‘Smart Tellers’ by ADIB, the ATMs provide customers with a fast, private and secure experience that is conveniently available 24 hours a day. Customers will have access to a wide variety of bank services, such as opening a bank account guided by a video banker on the screen, instantly obtaining a personalized card, updating the details of their account, as well as the regular services of an ATM like withdrawing and depositing cash.

The futuristic design of the self-service technology includes a 19-inch multi-touch screen and comes equipped with a debit card dispenser, biometric signature pad, a document scanner and statement printer, a specialized ID card reader, cash machine for withdrawals and deposits and coin dispenser as well as a near field communication (NFC) receiver for contactless transactions.

كما أعلن مركز دبي للسلع المتعددة عن إبرام اتفاقية مع “كريبتو فالي لابز” و”كريبتو فالي فينتشر كابيتال” بهدف تأسيس بيئة عمل رائدة لدعم قطاع التشفير في دبي. وخلال شهر فبراير الماضي، أصبح أحمد بن سليم، الرئيس التنفيذي الأول والمدير التنفيذي لمركز دبي للسلع المتعددة، عضواً في المجلس الاستشاري لـ “كريبتو فالي فينتشر كابيتال”.

Moderate weather conditions forecast on Tuesday

A slight rise in temperatures is expected, on Tuesday, as moderate weather conditions prevail countrywide, while hot conditions are forecast in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the port city of Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times, the JMD noted.

Amman will see a high of 30 degrees Celsius during the day, sliding to 19 degrees at night.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 38 degrees, while lows will stand at 26 degrees at night.

Serving citizens gov’t top priority – says PM

Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh, on Tuesday, said that serving citizens is his government’s top priority, an inevitable duty and a great responsibility, based on the oath of loyalty to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the homeland.

In a video message on the occasion of Jordan’s 75th Independence Day, the prime minister congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II, the custodian of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Al-Khasawneh stressed the centrality of the Palestinian cause, reiterating Jordan’s unwavering stance towards the cause and the holy city of Jerusalem.

FM conveys message from King to Abbas

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on Tuesday, conveyed a message from His Majesty King Abdullah to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, focusing on the deeply-rooted ties between Jordan and the state of Palestine.

The message also focused on launching serious negotiations that will contribute to achieving just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, upholding the ceasefire and halting the Israeli illegal practices in the occupied Palestinian territories.

For his part, the Palestinian president conveyed his greeting to King Abdullah, praising His Majesty’s clear stances in support of Palestinians’ rights.

In a joint press statement, Safadi along with Palestinian counterpart Riyadh al-Maliki, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s historical stance towards the Palestinian cause, in accordance with international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Safadi stressed the need to halt the Israeli aggressions at Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif, adding that the eviction of Palestinian families from their homes is a war crime, which will poor into escalating the situation there again.

The U.S. administration’s stance towards the two-state solution, settlements, population transfer, and unilateral steps that undermine the chances of achieving peace are all positive positions with which we interact positively, Safadi said.

Commenting on the Gaza reconstruction, Safadi said the government is coordinating with the Palestinian National Authority, stressing the importance of the commitment to the Palestinian cause.

For his part, al-Maliki praised Jordan’s supportive stance, congratulating His Majesty the King, the Jordanian government and the people of Jordan on the occasion of Jordan’s 75th Independence Day.
