The Military Intelligence arrested 13 suspects in various cases, including two on charges of terrorism in the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar, Basra and Nineveh.

The Directorate of Intelligence stated in a statement / that: “In the preemptive operations and relentless efforts of the division of the Basra Operations Command and the fifth, seventh, tenth, sixteenth and seventeenth divisions of the Military Intelligence Directorate, in cooperation with the security forces holding the land, tight ambushes were set up in the control of the 160 kilometer and Hor Rajab region, which resulted in the arrest of two terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 terrorism in the Rutba district and Al-Rashid district, and (11) accused of various cases in Heet, Fallujah, Hammam Al-Alil, Medina and Latifiyah.

Bapco hosts delegation from Bahrain Society in London

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) hosted a delegation from the Bahrain Society in London as part of their visit to the Kingdom from April 25 to May 1.

The Bahrain Society in London brings together all British people who spent periods of their childhood or their working careers in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the previous years, and many of them experienced different stages of the development of Bapco.

The visit’s programme included a visit to Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia on April 29, to see its distinctive engineering design and the various sections it contains, followed by a tour of the Awali area, which was established in the wake of the discovery of oil in Bahrain in the 1930s to provide housing and entertainment for the expatriate workers of the company.

A documentary about the history of the Bahrain Petroleum Company since its inception and the stages of development that the company and the city of Awali have gone through over the years was reviewed.

Members of the visiting delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to Bapco for the warm reception and hospitality, reviewing their memories of their stay in Bahrain and Awali.

Customs President on official visit to Azerbaijan

President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited Azerbaijan, where Lt-General Shahin Bagirov, Head of Customs of Azerbaijan, received him.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad praised the high-level customs cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries and the joint keenness to enhance the exchange of expertise and successful experiences, in a way that contributes to the development of customs work.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed cooperation and coordination as well as the follow-up on the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation that was signed between the customs authorities. They also reviewed customs controls, artificial intelligence and cargo operations topics.

The President of Customs also visited the European Regional Office for Capacity Building to learn more about the facilities equipped for e-training. At the end of the visit, he thanks his counterpart, stressing his dedication to promoting cooperation.

The sons of late HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed that HH Shaikh Nasser’s promotion was in recognition of HH’s dedicated efforts to serving the homeland, distinguished military capabilities and contributions to various fields in which he has attained multiple achievements for the kingdom.

They wished HH Shaikh Nasser continued success in bringing about more achievements to the kingdom, under HM the King’s leadership.
