HM King’s Advisor for Youth and Sport highlights support for people of determination

Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mennai, His Majesty the King’s Advisor for Youth and Sport Affairs, received Dr. Zainab Rashid Siwar and the artist Fawaz Muhammad, who presented him a drawing of his personal picture.

The advisor was briefed on the exhibition of people of determination which will be held under his patronage, entitled (Creative Motivation) and preparations underway to launch it.

He praised the efforts prepared made for the opening of the exhibition, which carries noble goals for people of determination and their role in various fields.

Dr. Siwar expressed her appreciation to His Majesty the King’s Advisor for Youth and Sports Affairs for his continuous support and sponsorship of the exhibition.

Municipalities Minister receives Al Hekma Retired Society members

Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs received board members of Al Hekma Retired Society, led by Dr. Saeed Abbas Al Sammak, the society’s vice president.

The meeting discussed common topics and ways to enhance relations.

The minister praised the society’s efforts and various programs that played a great role in developing the skills of its members.

The minister was gifted the special edition of the book on late Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa (the preacher, thinker and historian).

Al Mubarak applauded the great role of the late HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid and his efforts in various sectors.

Al Sammak praised the ministry’s efforts to provide the best municipal services and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between various institutions of society.

Tourism Ministry, BTEA participate in Dubai’s Arabian Travel Market

The Ministry of Tourism and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated in the 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, which began on May and runs until May 4.

The event is focused on the theme “Working Towards Net Zero” and brings together global travel industry leaders, decision-makers, and experts from 150 countries. Prominent speakers from the region and the world are also in attendance.

The Ministry of Tourism and BTEA are participating in the exhibition through the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national pavilion, which features 23 Bahraini exhibiting companies including Gulf Air, The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, Lagoona Beach Resort, Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay, Novotel Al Dana Resort, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, The Diplomat Radisson Hotel, Ibn Firnas Travel and Tourism Company, and Visit Bahrain, among others. The pavilion also includes 2,000 exhibiting companies from top hotels, destination management companies, tour operators, and airlines from around the world.

As part of the exhibition’s events, Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, participated in a ministerial panel discussion under the title of “The Future of Travel for the GCC” where she highlighted the importance of promoting the GCC countries as one destination which in turn will lead to increasing the tourism revenue in the GCC countries as well as increasing the international tourism footfall.

Al-Sairafi also discussed the unprecedented accomplishments of Bahrain’s tourism sector in 2022, noting the Kingdoms major progress and projects, particularly highlighting the new Exhibition World Bahrain.

In addition, she provided some perspective on investment opportunities in the sector and ongoing efforts to promote it both regionally and globally, leaving attendees with a newfound appreciation for Bahrain’s thriving tourism industry.

In a statement, Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi, emphasised that Bahrain’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2023 reflects the Ministry’s and the BTEA’s commitment to investing in major regional and international tourism events to promote the travel and tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The goal is to attract more tourists from around the world to Bahrain, particularly from countries that have significant tourism potential, and to continue achieving the strategic goals of Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022 – 2026.

Al-Sairafi added that the Arabian Travel Market is one of the largest tourism and travel exhibitions in the world, showcasing the latest trends and developments in the travel industry and offering favorable opportunities for businesses related to the sector. She emphasized that the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority have made all necessary preparations to ensure the maximum possible success of Bahrain’s participation in this global event. Moreover, the aim is to forge new partnerships and reach more tourist markets, which will contribute to the development of Bahrain’s tourism industry.

The Bahraini pavilion at the exhibition witnessed an outstanding and noteworthy presence from the participating entities. Visitors from across the globe were given a comprehensive overview of the latest sustainable developments in Bahrain’s tourism facilities, services, and plans to solidify its position as a prominent global hub for “green tourism” and a sustainable tourist destination. This was achieved through the presentation of innovative projects and plans by tourism sector companies that prioritize the preservation of the environment while maintaining the quality of tourist experiences.

The Bahraini tourism entities in attendance also engaged in productive working meetings with regional and international counterparts, wherein they explored opportunities for collaborative efforts to further advance the travel and tourism industry. They also discussed the practical measures taken by Bahraini tourism towards shaping a sustainable tourism future, along with exchanging insights on best practices in the sector.

Through its participation in the Arabian Travel Market, Bahraini tourism companies are demonstrating their dedication to supporting international initiatives aimed at advancing the global tourism industry and achieving the ambitious goal of net zero emissions. They are also actively seeking to establish and strengthen relationships with countries, organizations, companies, and tourism facilities worldwide, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of tourism and travel at both regional.

Bahrain Bourse ends trading at 1,906.88 points

Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,906.88 points marking an increase of 2.49 points above the previous closing.

This increase was due to the raise in the communications services sector, financials sector and industrials sector.

Bahrain Islamic Index has closed at 686.18 points marking an increase of 3.86 points above the previous closing.

Results indicated that 125 equity transactions took place with a volume of 3,512,920 worth BD 2,376,597.

Investors traded mainly in the materials sector representing 87.17% of the total value of securities traded.

PM Meets The President Of The Supreme Judicial Council

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, met today, Tuesday, with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan.

During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Sudani’s office, they discussed the latest developments in the situation at the national level, the progress of government agencies in implementing the service and reform program, and their efforts in combating corruption, which is reflected in comprehensive development.

Al-Sudani stressed: the importance of assigning the judiciary to government efforts in combating corruption and prosecuting the corrupt, indicating that the government is proceeding with the procedures for recovering looted funds and those legally wanted, and assisting the Iraqi judiciary and its legal and constitutional paths.

Deputy House Speaker And Barzani Agree To Strengthen Coordination And Dialogue Mechanisms Between The Center And The Region In The Interest Of The People

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, agreed to strengthen coordination and dialogue mechanisms between the center and the region in a way that serves the interest of the people.

The two sides stressed, according to a statement by the Media Office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, the importance of strengthening and maintaining communication, coordination and dialogues between the central and regional governments, in a way that contributes to achieving the people’s interest and providing the best services to them, as well as addressing outstanding problems in accordance with the constitution and legal frameworks, and discussing a number of important legislation, including the federal budget for the three years.

The President Of The Republic Stresses The Importance Of Speeding Up The Approval Of The Budget Law

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of speeding up the approval of the budget law.

A presidential statement stated: “The president met today with a delegation from the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, which included members of Parliament, Saud Al-Saadi, Hussein Al-Amiri, and Nadia Al-Aboudi.”

The statement added: “During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country, ways to improve services, the importance of exerting maximum efforts to improve the living conditions of citizens, and supporting the government to move forward with the priorities set by the government program, on top of which is the consolidation of security and stability, and speeding up the approval of the budget law.” .
