Amman: 23 Jordanian food companies will begin their participation on Sunday in the 2026 Fancy Food Show's latest summer edition held in the United States. The three-day event will feature Jordanian companies participating in the show.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) is organizing the Jordanian participation in the show. Senator Ahmed Khudari, head of JEA, emphasized the importance of the American market for Jordanian exports. He highlighted the large consumer base and significant purchasing power of the US, as well as the privileges provided by the free trade agreement between the two countries.
Khudari mentioned that Jordan has high-quality and efficient food and industrial products capable of competing globally. He stressed the need for continuous efforts to maximize the benefits of the free trade agreement, enhance the presence of Jordanian companies in international exhibitions and trade events, and establish sustainable partnerships with American importers and distribution chains.
Increasing Jordanian exports to the United States is seen as a cornerstone in supporting the national economy by boosting foreign currency inflows, improving the trade balance, stimulating investment, raising production capacity of national factories, and creating job opportunities for Jordanians.
Locally, Khudari called for enhanced coordination and cooperation among national institutions in both the public and private sectors, including ministries, economic bodies, export support institutions, and the private sector. The aim is to integrate efforts in promoting Jordanian products and exploring new markets.
He noted that the achievements of Jordanian exports in recent years demonstrate the tangible and sustainable economic returns from investing in external promotion and building international trade relations. This effort is crucial to enhancing Jordan's position on the global trade map and solidifying its image as a reliable source of high-quality products.
On its policy, the association plans to continue working with national partners to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian exports and optimize the benefits of trade agreements Jordan has concluded with countries worldwide. This strategy aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision and contributes to achieving sustainable economic growth for the nation and its citizens.
