Irbid: The Irbid First Awqaf Directorate has announced the establishment of 243 summer centers dedicated to Quran memorization across its mosques in the northern governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, Director Omar Hammouri revealed that 103 centers are designated for men, while 140 centers are set to accommodate women throughout the directorate's areas. These centers aim to provide education in Quranic sciences, Holy Quran recitation rules, and Islamic etiquette, effectively utilizing participants' free time.
Supervision of the centers will be handled by imams, preachers, and orators who possess degrees in Islamic law and Quranic studies, as well as skills in educational and behavioral guidance. Hammouri encouraged students to enroll in programs at their nearest designated mosque, noting that classes will commence early next week and will operate on a three-day weekly schedule until mid-August.
