Army Chief Inspects Readiness and Operations at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and Engineering Directorate

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF), Major General Yousef Huneiti, visited the Martyr Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, where he was welcomed by the Royal Jordanian Air Force commander. The visit included a briefing on the base's key operational missions, regular tasks, and recent developments in various fields.

According to Jordan News Agency, the army chief inspected several aircraft squadrons to review their readiness and effectiveness in carrying out missions. Senior officers were present as Major General Huneiti praised the air force personnel for their professionalism and dedication in protecting Jordanian airspace and national security during recent events. He emphasized ongoing efforts to develop and modernize aircraft and equipment to ensure the armed forces can defend the Kingdom.

Huneiti also toured the Royal Jordanian Engineering Corps Directorate. He received a briefing from the commander of the explosive ordnance disposal unit on handling falling objects, explosives, and munitions from missiles and drones. The commander highlighted the unit's key missions and efforts across the Kingdom, which included dealing with 156 drones, 107 warheads, and 132 missiles to safeguard public safety.

The army chief inaugurated the directorate's new warehouse building, part of a broader initiative to upgrade infrastructure and enhance the directorate's operational capabilities. He acknowledged the vital role of the Royal Engineering Corps and its field teams in maintaining national security and safety. Major General Huneiti conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Abdullah II, expressing pride in the dedication and allegiance of the JAF members across various locations.
