Jerusalem: Despite severe military restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation authority, thousands of Palestinians gathered to perform Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
According to Jordan News Agency, an estimated 40,000 worshipers attended the Friday prayer at the mosque, based on information provided by the Jerusalem Islamic Awqaf Department. The occupation soldiers reportedly blocked access to the mosque through the Damascus and Lions Gates, conducting identification checks and detaining several young men, thereby preventing them from entering.
In addition to the restrictions faced by worshipers, radical Jewish settlers staged provocative dances and singing outside Lions Gate while worshipers were arriving for the Friday noon prayer.
