ACC and Czech Embassy Explore Investment and Cooperation Opportunities

Amman: Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), Khalil Haj Tawfiq, met with Czech Ambassador to Jordan, Andrea Kucherova, to discuss enhancing economic, trade, and investment relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic. The meeting, attended by ACC board member Falah Saghir, focused on expanding cooperation between the business communities of both nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, Haj Tawfiq highlighted the importance of the Czech private sector's involvement in the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference, slated to take place before the end of this year. He emphasized that the event would serve as a significant platform for showcasing Jordan's investment opportunities and fostering communication between European and Jordanian investors.

He further noted that Jordan offers a stable business environment with promising opportunities across vital sectors, positioning the country as a suitable regional hub for investment, business, and re-export to regional markets. Plans are underway to organize a Jordanian-Czech Business Forum this summer, which aims to bolster communication and explore cooperation, investment, and partnership opportunities across various economic sectors.

Ambassador Kucherova expressed her country's eagerness to enhance economic and investment ties with Jordan. She encouraged Czech companies to explore the opportunities in the Jordanian market and take advantage of the incentives offered to investors. She mentioned the participation of Czech companies in the Renewable Energy and Solar Power Exhibition (SONEX 2026) in Amman next Monday, which will feature participation from local and international companies in the energy and sustainability sectors.

The exhibition is seen as an important opportunity for direct communication between the companies of both countries, enabling them to explore cooperation, investment, and technology transfer opportunities in renewable energy, sustainability, and advanced industrial solutions.

The meeting also discussed arrangements for upcoming Jordanian-Czech meetings at the ACC headquarters next Wednesday. These discussions, involving several Czech companies specializing in renewable energy and smart automation, aim to explore cooperation and partnership opportunities with Jordanian companies in these sectors.

Both sides acknowledged the importance of these discussions in strengthening direct communication between business owners and companies from both countries. They see these efforts as contributing to increased trade volume and the transfer of expertise and technology between Jordan and the Czech Republic.
