Seoul: Chairman of Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), Senator Ahmad Khudri, met with Chairperson of Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), Yun Young-mi, in Seoul to explore ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Jordan and South Korea.
According to Jordan News Agency, Khudri emphasized that the South Korean market presents promising opportunities for Jordanian products. He highlighted Jordan's participation in the Seoul International Food and Hospitality Expo, showcasing opportunities for Jordanian products to penetrate the South Korean market due to the expo's wide international presence.
Khudri expressed optimism that this initiative would lay a solid foundation for developing bilateral trade and investment relations, opening new avenues for Jordanian exports in Asian markets. He noted that Jordanian companies participating in the exhibition engaged in extensive discussions with South Korean and Arab importers, which he anticipates will yield positive results.
Khudri mentioned that entering the South Korean market requires continuous engagement to promote Jordanian products and build trust with importers and consumers. He reaffirmed JEA's commitment to expanding Jordanian products' reach in global markets and strengthening partnerships with international business institutions.
He called for leveraging the distinguished relations between Jordan and South Korea to transform them into economic partnerships that increase trade and investment volumes. Khudri announced that JEA would organize Jordanian participation in the next edition of the expo to further solidify Jordanian products' presence in Asian markets.
Yun Young-mi welcomed the Jordanian delegation and emphasized the importance of strengthening communication between the two countries' business communities. She highlighted the competitive advantages of Jordanian products, particularly in the food and agricultural sectors, and expressed hope for expanding trade cooperation.
Young-mi assured that KOIMA is ready to support communication between the two nations' businesspeople, contributing to building long-term trade partnerships. She also encouraged continued bilateral visits to explore investment and trade opportunities.
The meeting also included the Jordanian Ambassador to South Korea, Asel Al-Tal, Senator Mamdouh Nabbas, and JEA Director General, Halim Abu Rahma.
