ACI’s Industrial Exports Reach JD5.612 Billion in First Nine Months of 2025

Amman: The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) reported a 15.7% increase in its exports over the past nine months, compared to the same period last year, continuing a positive trend from the start of 2025.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ACI's industrial exports, as documented by issued certificates of origin, climbed to JD5.612 billion from January to September this year, up from JD4.849 billion in the corresponding period last year.

During this period, eight sub-sectors experienced export growth, ranging from a 55.1% rise in construction industries to a 23.2% increase in supply, food, agricultural, and livestock industries. However, exports in the woodworking and furniture industries fell by 10.6%, and the value of packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies dropped by 2.2%.

Four countries-India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq-comprised over half of the chamber's exports this year, totaling JD3.152 billion. Exports to India surged by 29.4% to approximately JD890 million, while exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 7.7% to JD636 million. Conversely, exports to Iraq slightly decreased by 1.3% to JD693 million, and exports to the United States decreased by 6.5% to JD938 million. Nonetheless, the United States remains the top importer of ACI's industrial exports.

The chamber noted a significant 464.6% increase in exports to Syria, reaching JD283 million, compared to JD50 million last year. Arab countries were the leading importers, with a total value of JD2.651 billion, followed by non-Arab Asian countries at JD1.251 billion, and North American countries at JD973 million.

ACI's industrial exports to European Union countries amounted to JD361 million, with non-EU European states at JD187 million, African nations at JD99 million, South American countries at JD52 million, and other countries at JD37 million.

The mining industries contributed JD1.367 billion to the exports, while chemicals and cosmetics accounted for JD1 billion, and engineering, electrical, and information technology sectors added JD902 million. Other significant contributors included the food, agricultural, and livestock industries at JD723 million, medical supplies and equipment at JD552 million, and leather and textiles at JD473 million. Remaining exports included the plastic and rubber industries at JD235 million, packaging and related industries at JD199 million, construction at JD146 million, and wood and furniture at JD14 million.

Established in 1962, the Amman Chamber of Industry encompasses 8,600 industrial facilities, employing 159,000 workers, with a capital of approximately JD5 billion.
