Agricultural Research and JAPCO Explore Enhanced Collaboration


Amman: The National Center for Agricultural Research (NCAR) and the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company (JPACO) recently engaged in discussions to enhance cooperation in post-harvest research and agricultural innovation during a visit by a delegation from JPACO.



According to Jordan News Agency, Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh, the Director General of NCAR, emphasized the institution’s role in advancing agricultural scientific research. The discussions focused on collaborative research opportunities at NCAR’s stations throughout the Kingdom, particularly in areas such as post-harvest procedures and freeze-drying technology. The meeting also addressed the challenges faced by the agriculture industry and explored innovative solutions to these issues.



The discussions led to agreements on promoting entrepreneurial projects within the Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator, organizing awareness-raising meetings with small farmers, and utilizing the center’s laboratory facilities for testing soil, water, and fertilizers. The delegation from JAPCO included Qais Al-Qatamin, the Director General, and Ibrahim Al-Sharif, the Deputy Director General.
