Amman: Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh, the Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research (NCAR), stressed the need of turning scientific research results into innovative projects during his meeting with research center directors yesterday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Rawashdeh emphasized the significance of expediting the implementation of research projects that assist small farmers, support the agricultural sector, and advance agricultural operations. This initiative aligns with the National Plan for Sustainable Development and the Economic Modernization Vision.

Al-Rawashdeh highlighted the necessity of linking scientific research outcomes to practical applications. He advocated for the adoption of plant species and types that enhance food security and reduce malnutrition, aligning with the objectives of the next phase.

Furthermore, Al-Rawashdeh encouraged researchers to embrace creative and original concepts, transforming them into research initiatives that address environmental and climate change challenges. He noted that funding scientific research is essential for advancing the agriculture industry.

The directors of the research institutions emphasized that these efforts reflect the country’s objective to elevate scientific research as a crucial pillar for the development of Jordan’s agricultural sector.
