Amman: Minister of Agriculture Eng. Khaled Hneifat met with President of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables Saadi Abu Hammad, along with several members of the association, to discuss key issues related to the regulation of fruit and vegetable import and export mechanisms.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hneifat emphasized the importance of ensuring the availability of high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices. He underscored the need to strengthen export channels to foreign markets, highlighting the potential growth opportunities for Jordan's agricultural sector.

Both parties agreed on the formation of a specialized committee responsible for drafting an agricultural calendar. This initiative will be in partnership with all relevant stakeholders, including the Farmers' Union and trade associations, to optimize the timing and regulation of agricultural exports and imports. The discussion reflects a strategic effort to bolster Jordan's agricultural trade and ensure the sector's sustainability and competitiveness on an international level.
