Al Salt: Al-Balqa' Applied University (BAU) has achieved a new accomplishment after joining seven scientific fields in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025. The university topped the local ranking in the field of physical sciences for the fourth consecutive year and emerged in the (501-600) category globally.
According to Jordan News Agency, the university also secured notable global positions in other fields, placing in the (401-500) category in computer science, within the (601-800) range in social sciences, on the (+601) list in education, in the (+801) range in business and economics, and in the (801-1000) range in engineering and clinical and health sciences.
In a statement on Sunday, the university president, Dr. Ahmad Fakhri Ajlouni, mentioned that this success enhances BAU's international standing and helps attract talented faculty members, researchers, and students both locally and internationally. Ajlouni emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with local and global institutions and intensifying efforts in scientific research, which will contribute to improving the university's position in global rankings and boosting its competitiveness and academic reputation.
