AMMAN: Alwasleh, a company under OFFTEC Holding Group PLC, has received authorization from the Central Bank of Jordan to launch a suite of secure e-payment services, featuring its unique Smart Limit Tool. The approval positions Alwasleh to offer innovative financial solutions within Jordan, followed by a statement from the company highlighting its compliance with regulatory standards. According to Jordan News Agency, the newly acquired license signifies Alwasleh's commitment to adhering to security and efficiency best practices, ensuring protection against fraud, and complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations. The company's platform prioritizes transparency and consumer protection while promoting financial inclusion. The services licensed by the Central Bank include a secure e-payment system through the Alwasleh app, allowing users to conduct payments via QR codes within its network. Furthermore, the company plans to offer virtual credit cards that can be converted into physical cards, providing adaptability for both domestic and international use. The Smart Limit Tool is designed to augment customer access to Alwasleh's 'buy now, pay later' service, with the addition of a medical limit feature to make medical services more affordable, thereby broadening financial accessibility. Nabil Nasser, General Manager of Alwasleh, emphasized the importance of the license, stating the company's dedication to high standards and innovative solutions.
