Amman and Siero Leaders Discuss Boosting Economic Cooperation Between Jordan and Spain.

Amman: Head of the Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, met with Angel Antonio Gonzalez, Governor of the Spanish city of Siero, to explore ways to strengthen economic cooperation between Jordan and Spain. According to Jordan News Agency, Jaghbir emphasized the significance of enhancing Jordan's economic ties with Spain. He noted that trade volumes between the two countries remain limited, considering the strong relationship between their leaders. Jaghbir expressed optimism that the private sectors in both nations could play a crucial role in deepening these ties. He announced plans to arrange a visit by a Jordanian industrial delegation to Siero, aiming to explore cooperative opportunities, particularly in establishing integrated industries and utilizing Siero's local raw materials. Jaghbir highlighted Jordan's strategic position as a gateway to Iraqi, Syrian, and Gulf markets, mentioning the country's numerous free trade agreements that make it a favorable destination for foreign investmen ts. He suggested that Spain could also serve as an entry point for Jordanian products into European Union markets. Gonzalez, on his part, emphasized Siero's interest in building trade and investment partnerships with Jordan's private sector. He pointed to Siero's diverse economic landscape, which supports collaborations across multiple sectors such as education, agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, and livestock and dairy production. Gonzalez added that this diversity creates a solid foundation for joint projects that could drive economic growth for both Jordan and Spain.
