Amman Named Arab Digital Capital for 2025

Amman: Amman has been announced as the Arab Digital Capital for 2025 by the Arab Council of Ministers for Communications and Information, as stated by the Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), Bassam Sarhan. The council has recognized Amman as a smart city, operating its facilities and services under an expandable digital system.

According to Jordan News Agency, Sarhan highlighted that this decision positions Amman as a successful and pioneering model for pan-Arab digital integration, leveraging the city's technical experiences. He emphasized that this designation will attract further investments in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector to the capital.

Sarhan also noted that Amman is home to multiple projects in the ICT sector, which enhances its profile as an attractive hub for investments. This new status as the Arab Digital Capital is expected to bolster these efforts and drive growth in the sector.
