Amman:The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) general index experienced a decline of 0.69 percent, closing at 4,166 points on Wednesday. The total trading value for the session amounted to JD12.6 million.
According to Jordan News Agency, a total of 4.1 million shares changed hands across 4,338 transactions during the trading day.
In terms of sector performance, the industrial and financial indexes saw declines of 0.99 percent and 0.76 percent, respectively, while the services index fell slightly by 0.22 percent. Among the 102 companies traded, 29 recorded gains in their share prices, whereas 47 saw declines.
