Istanbul: Anadolu's chairman and CEO, Serdar Karagoz, emphasized the news agency's commitment to showcasing Trkiye's strength on the global stage during a visit to Anadolu's stand at TEKNOFEST's maritime edition, known as TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland. The four-day event, which began on Thursday, is hosted at the Istanbul Shipyard Command, with Anadolu serving as the global communications partner.
According to Anadolu Agency, Karagoz highlighted the significance of TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland in sending a message to Trkiye's youth, given the country's unique geographical position, surrounded by seas on three sides. He posed a question regarding Trkiye's capability to protect its maritime territories, known as the "blue homeland," in comparison to the naval forces of the world's most powerful armies. The event offers the Turkish nation a unique opportunity to witness these capabilities firsthand.
Karagoz pointed out that many children attending the event may have experienced seeing a ship for the first time, entering a submarine, or observing a warship. These experiences, he stated, are invaluable as they reveal the country's potential and maritime strength. He emphasized the importance of protecting the "blue homeland," stating that any compromise could threaten the nation's land borders.
The CEO reiterated that technological advances are crucial in safeguarding the "blue homeland," with the TEKNOFEST generation playing a pivotal role in this endeavor. Young people are exposed to advanced technologies at the event, inspiring them to explore how these technologies can be further developed through civil and technology engineering.
Karagoz expressed pride in Trkiye's technologically equipped army, noting advancements across land, air, and sea. He also mentioned the presence of the Savarona yacht, a spiritual legacy of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, which was showcased alongside the TCG Anadolu, a Turkish UAV carrier, symbolizing both the nation's past and future.
He further elaborated on the capabilities of the TCG Anadolu, a ship with features that few countries possess, and hinted at future advancements, including a national aircraft carrier. The TCG Anadolu is currently equipped to support fighter jets and unmanned combat aircraft.
Karagoz concluded by expressing his pride and happiness in Trkiye's maritime capabilities, which inspire confidence among allies and instill caution among adversaries.
