Amman, The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) seized 200,000 narcotic pills, in possession of a drug smuggler in the Northern Badia region.
In a statement, media spokesperson of Public Security Directorate (PSD) said an AND investigation team tracked tipoffs for months about a person suspected of drug smuggling and trafficking, who possesses a “large” quantity of narcotic pills hidden in a desert area.
Following intelligence efforts, information collection and verification, the spokesperson said the suspect was raided and arrested.
Guiding authorities, AND agents moved to an unpopulated desert area in a northern Badia region, where narcotic substances were hidden, and 200,000 narcotic pills were seized, hidden in a rocky terrain, the spokesperson announced.
