Amman: Al-Salt: Al-Balqa Applied University has secured full accreditation for its Bachelor's degree program in Applied Chemistry from the Canadian Society for Chemistry, reinforcing the university's efforts to align its academic programs with internationally recognized quality standards.
According to Jordan News Agency, the accreditation is valid from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2033, and reflects the program's successful fulfillment of the academic and professional criteria established by the Canadian accrediting body. The accreditation certificate confirms that the program met all required standards, including those related to curriculum quality, faculty qualifications, educational infrastructure, and research support systems.
University President Ahmad Fakhri Al-Ajlouni described the achievement as a significant addition to the university's academic record and a reflection of its commitment to continuous development and quality enhancement across its educational programs. He emphasized that the accreditation underscores the university's efforts to adopt international best practices in higher education and strengthen the competitiveness of its graduates in local, regional, and international labor markets.
Al-Ajlouni added that the recognition enhances the university's academic standing and supports its strategic objectives of advancing educational quality and excellence in scientific and applied disciplines. The Canadian Society for Chemistry is regarded as one of the leading international organizations specializing in the accreditation of chemistry programs and grants accreditation following comprehensive evaluations of academic quality and institutional capabilities.
