Aqaba Authority and Palestinian Industrial Authority Explore Investment Cooperation

Aqaba: Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Investment at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Mohammad Abu Omar stated that Aqaba provides a leading model for economic zone management and serves as an attractive regional platform for investment, backed by a flexible legislative framework and integrated infrastructure. His comments were made during a meeting with a delegation from the Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zones, led by Chief Executive Officer Khaled Amleh.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen investment cooperation and share expertise in economic zones, logistics services, and investor facilitation mechanisms. Abu Omar highlighted the significance of enhancing Aqaba's position as a regional logistics hub that supports Palestinian industries, emphasizing the zone's advanced port facilities, international airport, and network of free trade agreements. He urged Palestinian companies to capitalize on the investment opportunities available in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.

Members of the Palestinian delegation praised ASEZA's expertise in economic zone development and showed interest in expanding collaboration and knowledge exchange. They aim to support the development of Palestinian industrial cities and explore new avenues for joint investment.
