Aqaba Port Operations Maintain Normalcy Amid Regional Tensions

Aqaba: Mahmoud Khleifat, Director General of the Aqaba Company for Ports Management and Operations, reported that ship and cargo traffic at the Port of Aqaba are proceeding smoothly and in accordance with scheduled plans.

According to Jordan News Agency, Khleifat emphasized that emergency and public safety protocols have been activated across all major port facilities. He stated that ship arrivals are adhering to regular schedules and follow organized procedures designed to ensure the highest standards of maritime safety.

Khleifat further explained that port authorities and relevant agencies are actively monitoring all operations related to ship safety, arrivals, and departures. He highlighted that all port facilities are functioning efficiently around the clock to handle various goods and supply local markets.

He also praised the port's readiness and the professionalism of its teams, particularly during periods of regional instability. Khleifat added that Aqaba remains a vital regional hub, serving as a key link distinguished by its reputation, competitiveness, security, and stability.
