Arab Bank Supports Forum on AI in Financial Crime Prevention in Amman

Amman: Arab Bank provided strategic sponsorship for the "Harnessing AI to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing: Opportunities, Risks, and the Way Forward" forum organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ).

According to Jordan News Agency, the two-day forum attracted policymakers, experts, and specialists from the financial and banking sector, alongside representatives from central banks and regulatory institutions across several Arab countries.

The forum features a series of panel discussions by central and commercial banks covering topics such as artificial intelligence and the future of financial crime prevention, smart financial systems, efficient and intelligent risk management, cybersecurity and digital resilience in AI-driven environments, digital financial crimes and the role of emerging technologies, AI in anti-money laundering and terrorism financing, and regulatory technology and supervisory innovation.

Arab Bank's strategic sponsorship and participation reflect its ongoing support for regional and international efforts to combat financial crimes. It also underscores the bank's commitment to adhering to international compliance best practices and recommendations while promoting dialogue and experience-sharing on future challenges and opportunities presented by modern technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, in strengthening financial crime prevention frameworks.
