Ljubljana: Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar engaged in discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi. Safadi also held meetings with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob and participated in the 20th Bled Strategic Forum.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi conveyed King Abdullah II's greetings to the Slovenian leadership, expressing gratitude for Slovenia's support of the Palestinian people's rights and the call for a ceasefire in Gaza. The discussions underscored Slovenia's commitment to deepening cooperation with Jordan and acknowledged the King's efforts in fostering regional peace.
The meetings highlighted bilateral cooperation and regional developments, focusing on establishing a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Safadi is set to meet Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon to further bilateral cooperation and address regional concerns.
Safadi emphasized the need for global action to halt Israeli aggression, urging the international community to hold Israel accountable under international law. He criticized the use of starvation in Gaza and called for the recognition of the State of Palestine.
Additionally, Safadi conferred with counterparts on regional stability and cooperation in trade, tourism, and defense. Meetings included officials from Montenegro, Latvia, North Macedonia, Albania, the Vatican, Croatia, and the European Commission.
Safadi will also participate in a seminar on leadership and multilateralism, alongside international ministers, highlighting ongoing diplomatic efforts to address regional conflicts and promote peace.
