Amman, Arab countries on Saturday condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm
Foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Kuwait condemned this act in separate statements, and blamed the Swedish authorities for allowing an extremist to commit such an act.
The Arab countries reaffirmed their firm positions which call for spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting hatred and extremism.
They urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and stop such unacceptable acts, reject all forms of hatred and extremism, and hold the perpetrators accountable, stressing that this act contradicts human and moral values and principles.
