Cairo: The Arab League has reiterated its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at fostering interfaith and intercultural dialogue, as well as promoting the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, in celebration of the UN-designated World Interfaith Harmony Week. In a statement on Sunday, Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh emphasized the importance of backing the UN initiative to strengthen dialogue between religions and cultures and build bridges of understanding among followers of different faiths.
According to Jordan News Agency, Ambassador Abu Ghazaleh noted that the Arab League is actively working to promote peaceful coexistence within Arab societies, believing that religious and cultural diversity is a source of strength and enrichment for the Arab world. The organization is committed to advancing these values through various programs and collaborations designed to enhance mutual respect and understanding across different cultures and religions.
