Amman: Arab countries strongly condemned on Tuesday Israel's attack against the State of Qatar as a blatant violation of international law and the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

According to Jordan News Agency, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, describing it as a "brutal act" and a "clear violation of international law" that threatens regional security and stability. In a statement carried by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), Abbas stressed the urgent need to halt the escalation, warning of its potential repercussions on both regional and global peace. He reiterated that the path to stability begins with a just and comprehensive resolution of the Palestinian issue.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, denounced the attack, particularly the targeting of residential areas in Doha. His spokesperson, Jamal Rushdi, said in a statement that Israel's actions are "outside the bounds of international norms and law," calling on the international community to hold Israel accountable for what he described as a "shameful violation." Rushdi affirmed the Arab League's full solidarity with Qatar and its support for any measures taken by Doha to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people.

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the attack as a "flagrant violation of Qatari sovereignty" and a threat to its national security. Iraq expressed its solidarity with Qatar and urged the international community to take responsibility and act to stop Israeli aggression.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the assault as part of a wider pattern of Israeli violations across the region. He said the attack on Qatar reflects Israel's disregard for regional peace efforts and the lives of civilians. Lebanon expressed its solidarity with Qatar and called on the international community to intervene to stop Israeli violations and support Qatar's peacemaking efforts.
