Army Chief and Sudanese Defense Minister Discuss Military Cooperation

Amman: Chief of the Joint Staff, Lt. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, held discussions with Sudanese Defense Minister, Lt. Gen. Hassan Daoud Kayan, and his delegation at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing joint military cooperation and coordination between the Jordanian and Sudanese armed forces, particularly in defense and training fields. Both sides explored the latest developments of mutual interest, aiming to strengthen strategic interests, security, and stability in the region.

Huneiti emphasized the strong relations between the two countries' armed forces and stressed the importance of continued military coordination in all areas. He noted that such cooperation positively impacts defense capabilities and the development of joint expertise.

The Sudanese defense minister expressed his appreciation for the JAF's professionalism and praised its role in supporting regional security and stability. The talks concluded with the presence of the Sudanese Ambassador and Military Attach© in Amman, along with senior JAF officers, as the Sudanese minister penned a message in the visitors' book.
