Army Chief Emphasizes Importance of Royal Jordanian Air Force in National Defense

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Majdi Al Harasis visited the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) headquarters on Wednesday, where he was welcomed by its Commander.

According to Jordan News Agency, the army chief, during a meeting attended by senior Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) officers, was briefed by the Air Force Commander on key operational and training matters. Discussions covered the readiness levels of units and efforts to carry out national tasks amid regional circumstances and developments.

The briefing included an overview of plans and programs aimed at enhancing operational and technical capabilities and boosting personnel proficiency. These initiatives align with the modernization and development process within the JAF to ensure efficiency and professionalism in handling various requirements.

Separately, Maj. Gen. Al Harasis visited the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base to receive a briefing on the operational missions carried out by the base. The briefing emphasized the base's role in protecting the country's airspace and its readiness to execute assigned duties.

RJAF is considered a key pillar of the national defense system, as stressed by Al Harasis. He called for maintaining high levels of readiness, pursuing training and modernization efforts, and investing in human, technical, and technological resources.

The army chief commended the competence and professionalism of the Royal Air Force and praised its personnel for executing tasks and duties essential to protecting the country and safeguarding its security and stability.
