Berlin: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Hunaiti, met with Germany's Chief of Defense, General Carsten Breuer, at the German Ministry of Defense headquarters in Berlin. An official military reception welcomed Maj. Gen. Hunaiti, which included an honor guard inspection.
According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions between the two military leaders focused on enhancing bilateral relations and military cooperation. They explored opportunities in defense industries, joint training, and capacity-building, aiming to bolster regional security and improve readiness to face emerging challenges. Maj. Gen. Hunaiti highlighted the significance of deepening the strategic partnership between the two armies and expanding cooperation across all military fields to address global security concerns effectively.
In a subsequent meeting, Maj. Gen. Hunaiti engaged in talks with German Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius. The discussions included the participation of Jordan's ambassador to Germany, the Jordanian defense attach© in Berlin, and senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces. Minister Pistorius acknowledged the historic ties between the two nations and reiterated Germany's dedication to maintaining strong military cooperation with Jordan. He lauded Jordan's significant role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in fostering regional security and stability.
