Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti conducted an inspection of the 11th Royal Border Guards Battalion, which is a part of the 2nd Border Guards Brigade in the Northern Military Region. During the visit to the battalion's command and control centre, Major General Huneiti emphasized the ongoing efforts to bolster border security. He highlighted that the units are equipped with the latest technology to ensure their optimal deployment given the current circumstances.

According to Jordan News Agency, Major General Huneiti stated that these accomplishments are a testament to the directives and vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces. Accompanied by senior officers from the Armed Forces, Huneiti received briefings on the operational and logistical readiness of the battalion. These briefings also covered the collaborative efforts being made to safeguard Jordan's borders.

During the visit, Major General Huneiti also observed a command and control exercise. This exercise, conducted by the Border Guard personnel in collaboration with the Special Communications Authority, demonstrated the employment of advanced systems, such as day and night cameras, radars, and drones, to monitor and secure the borders efficiently.

The Commander of the Northern Military Region reiterated that the personnel are maintaining the highest levels of alertness and preparedness. They are actively countering infiltration and smuggling activities in coordination with relevant agencies to ensure the security of the borders.
