Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, welcomed Indonesian Defense Minister Shafri Shamsuddin and his delegation, marking a significant meeting held at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
According to Jordan News Agency, the Indonesian minister was received with a formal military reception at the General Command Headquarters, including an honor guard parade. The meeting, which included the Indonesian ambassador and senior officers from both the Jordanian and Indonesian armed forces, focused on exploring cooperation in military training, defense industries, sharing expertise, and conducting joint military drills.
The Indonesian delegation was given an overview of the training and operational strategies, as well as the duties carried out by JAF to maintain Jordan's security and stability. The visit included attending a tactical exercise at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), where they received insights into the drill designed to improve combat efficiency and military expertise among participants.
The exercise, executed by the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces, involved combat operations in urban settings, training on isolation and cordoning procedures, fast-rope landings from helicopters, live fire exercises with small and medium-sized weapons, and sniper shooting. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the visiting delegation expressed their appreciation for the skills, morale, and combat readiness displayed by the participants.
