Head of Kuwaiti Charity Union Commends Jordan’s Humanitarian Efforts in Gaza

Amman: Chairman of the Kuwaiti Union of Charitable Societies and Foundations Saad Marzouq Al-Otaibi has praised Jordan's consistent humanitarian efforts, referring to the nation as a "gateway of hope and a land of humanitarian giving." He noted that this role is upheld by the Hashemite leadership with a long-term commitment, not driven by temporary or political motives. Jordan's humanitarian institutions, especially the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), have played a significant role both domestically and internationally.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Otaibi addressed unfounded reports that have targeted the reputation of Jordan and its charitable entities, particularly the JHCO. He highlighted the dependable partnership between Kuwaiti charitable societies and Jordan's humanitarian organizations, which has been crucial in supporting refugees and those in need within Jordan, as well as in aiding Palestine and Gaza. This collaboration underscores the close relationship and complementary roles in the Arab region.

Al-Otaibi emphasized the need for the Arab world to enhance this integrated humanitarian model, which promotes solidarity, brotherhood, and genuine partnership that transcends borders. He noted Jordan's longstanding role as a humanitarian leader, offering refuge and support during regional crises and described the nation as a "gateway of mercy and a land of safety."

He also lauded the JHCO's continuous support for Syrian refugees and Palestinian families, as well as its efforts in Gaza and the West Bank. Furthermore, he noted Jordan's initiatives in areas like health and education, pointing to the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) as a global model in providing specialized medical care.

Al-Otaibi attributed Jordan's humanitarian leadership to His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who have reinforced Jordan's proactive stance in humanitarian aid, notably in delivering emergency aid to Gaza amidst challenges.
