Amman: Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was welcomed by the commander of the Southern Military Zone during his visit to the 41st Martyr Abdul Hamid Sharaf Mechanized Battalion, part of the 93rd Prince Zeid bin Al Hussein Mechanized Brigade.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Huneiti attended military briefings focusing on logistical and operational issues, the region's border protection activities, and its efforts in thwarting smuggling and infiltration to maintain the Kingdom's security.
Al-Huneiti highlighted the importance of making every effort to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts to protect the country's borders and capabilities. He stressed the importance of maintaining the operational and administrative readiness of the region's formations and units, in line with the mission, values, and principles of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
Al-Huneiti also explained how the General Command of the Armed Forces supports the battalion by providing advanced tools and technology to improve logistical and operational capacities. He emphasized the necessity of continuous training and development to address challenges and safeguard the Kingdom's security and stability.
