5-Star Hotel Reservations During Eid Reach 34% in Amman-JHA

Amman: Demand for 5-star hotel reservations in the capital, Amman, reached 34%, while the rate for 4-star hotels stood at 35% during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Vice President of the Jordan Hotel Association (JHA), Hussein Hilalat, highlighted that the Kingdom's hotel sector witnessed a decline in occupancy rates during Eid al-Fitr in 2025 and the previous year, compared to 2023, which experienced a surge.

Hilalat noted that the years following 2023 recorded a decline in most tourist destinations. He attributed this primarily to the repercussions of the regional situation, which has negatively impacted inbound tourism.

Under these circumstances, Hilalat stated that most reservations rely on domestic tourism and visitors from the 1948 regions in Palestine, with a noticeable absence of foreign tourists. He emphasized the tourism sector's need for regional stability and intensified promotional efforts to restore Jordan's position as a prominent tourist destination in the region.

Demand for reservations at 5-star hotels at the Dead Sea reached 35%, while the 4-star hotel rate stood at 27%. In Petra, the percentage for 5-star hotels was 26%, and for 4-star hotels, it was 14%, he pointed out.
