Army Chiefs of Jordan and Belgium Discuss Strengthening Military Cooperation

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, engaged in discussions with Chief of Defence of the Belgian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Frederik Vansina, and his delegation regarding recent developments on the regional and international fronts.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, which took place at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), included the presence of the Belgian Defense Attach© in Amman and several senior JAF officers. The discussions focused on aspects of joint cooperation, coordination, and ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the armed forces of Jordan and Belgium.

Huneiti and the visiting delegation were informed about the key upgrades and developments within the JAF, spanning various defense and security sectors. The briefing also covered the JAF's humanitarian efforts in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, alongside the latest regional developments and prevailing security challenges.

Lt. Gen. Vansina emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination with the JAF in military fields, particularly in joint training and the exchange of expertise. He expressed a positive outlook on achieving further cooperation to advance the common interests of both nations.
