Amman: The Eastern Military Zone officers successfully thwarted a second attempt to smuggle narcotics along the border front on Saturday evening. This attempt involved the use of balloons guided by advanced electronic devices.
According to Jordan News Agency, the balloons were detected by the Border Guard forces, who engaged and brought them down along with the narcotics payload inside Jordanian territory. This operation was conducted in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The seized materials have been transferred to the competent authorities for necessary legal proceedings.
