Amman: The Southern Military Zone successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics using two drones along its western front on Friday morning. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts to secure the region and prevent illegal activities within its area of responsibility.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was conducted in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. Upon detection by the Border Guard forces, the rules of engagement were promptly applied, resulting in the shooting down of the two drones inside Jordanian territory. The seized narcotics were then handed over to the competent authorities for further processing and investigation.
