ASE Closes Lower with JD16.4 Million Turnover

Amman: Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD16.4 million on Monday, with 8.1 million shares traded through 5,185 transactions. The ASE general price index closed at 3,999 points, down 0.33 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector index saw a rise of 1.19 percent. However, the services sector index experienced a decline of 0.93 percent, and the financial sector index fell by 0.51 percent.

Out of the 106 companies whose shares were traded, 35 recorded gains, while 42 posted declines when compared with their previous closing prices.
