ASE Experiences Slight Decline in General Index Amid JD12.4 Million Turnover

Amman: Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) totaled JD12.4 million Monday, with 5.7 million shares changing hands through 4,386 transactions. The general index fell to 4,000 points, down 0.2 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector index experienced a decline of 1.08 percent, while the financial sector saw a slight decrease of 0.12 percent. In contrast, the services sector index recorded a rise of 0.28 percent.

Out of the 99 companies listed on the exchange, 41 witnessed an increase in their share prices, 27 experienced a decline, and the remainder remained unchanged compared to previous closings.
