Amman: Jordan will host the second edition of the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026 on September 23-24 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre in the Dead Sea. The Festival is bringing together leading financial institutions, regulatory bodies, fintech companies, investors, and experts from Jordan, the region, and around the world.
According to Jordan News Agency, Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Governor Adel Sharakas stated that the Jordan FinTech Festival represents a strategic national platform reflecting the transformation taking place in the financial sector and the Kingdom's vision of building an integrated digital financial system that contributes to sustainable development and strengthens Jordan's regional and international competitiveness. He emphasized that the CBJ continues to develop regulatory policies that support innovation while ensuring consumer protection, which helps create an enabling environment for the growth of fintech and the development of innovative digital financial solutions.
Sharakas further noted that the festival seeks to strengthen cooperation among financial institutions, startups, and regulatory bodies, linking financial innovation to actual market needs. This initiative provides startups with greater opportunities to access investors, markets, and potential partners. Organised by the CBJ in partnership with the Association of Banks in Jordan and in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the festival is part of efforts to bolster the Kingdom's fintech ecosystem, support digital transformation and financial inclusion, and reinforce Jordan's position as a regional hub for fintech and innovation.
Over the two-day event, the festival will gather decision-makers, banking and financial-sector leaders, regulators, startups, investors, and technology companies to exchange expertise, discuss developments in financial services, and explore opportunities for cooperation, investment, and partnerships. The programme will focus on key themes shaping the future of the financial sector, including digital payments, digital transformation in banking and financial services, open finance, digital assets and blockchain technologies, embedded finance, banking as a platform, entrepreneurship and investment, and the development of the startup ecosystem.
The event will also address sustainable finance and environmental governance, improving user experience on fintech platforms, and developments in virtual assets and asset tokenisation. Participants will benefit from panel discussions, specialised workshops, an exhibition showcasing the latest fintech solutions and products, startup pitch sessions, and networking events connecting innovators with investors and industry leaders.
A highlight of the festival will be the FinTech Hackathon, offering innovators and young talent a platform to develop digital solutions to challenges facing the financial sector and present their projects to experts, investors, and financial institutions. Jordan's hosting of the event underscores the Kingdom's commitment to building an integrated fintech ecosystem based on human capital, digital infrastructure, and a sound regulatory framework, enabling companies to develop, test, and scale their solutions in regional and international markets.
