ASE Rises Slightly, Turnover at JD13.8 Million

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) Wednesday experienced a modest increase, rising by 0.41 percent to close the day at 3,085 points.

According to Jordan News Agency, the day's trading saw approximately 5.5 million shares exchanged hands through 4,654 transactions, resulting in a turnover of JD13.8 million. Out of the 93 companies listed on the index, 40 recorded gains, 25 saw declines, while the remaining companies' shares remained unchanged.

At the sectoral level, the services index experienced the most significant growth with an increase of 0.99 percent. Meanwhile, the financial index saw a rise of 0.34 percent. In contrast, the industrial index faced a slight setback, declining by 0.27 percent.
