ASE Trading Reaches JD6.8M as Index Rises 0.53%

Amman: Total trading volume at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) on Thursday reached JD6.8 million, with 3.5 million shares traded through 2,897 transactions. The ASE general index closed at 3,482 points, marking a 0.53% increase against the previous session.

According to Jordan News Agency, out of the 106 companies whose shares were traded, 49 posted gains, while 23 experienced declines compared with their previous closing prices. At the sector level, indices of the financial and industrial sectors rose by 0.90% and 0.05%, respectively. In contrast, the services sector benchmark saw a slight decline of 0.05%.
