Attended by Prince El Hassan, Princess Sarvath Sponsors Launch of Qissat Lahen Choir

Amman: Under the patronage of HRH Princess Sarvath El Hassan, with HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal in attendance, the Qissat Lahen (The Story of a Melody) choir was launched in an event celebrating creativity and inclusion. The event was organized in cooperation with the Bunayat Centre for Special Education, highlighting the power of musical expression as a bridge for communication and integration.

According to Jordan News Agency, students from the Bunayat Center and Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS) participated alongside artists and musicians with disabilities. This artistic space brought together varied abilities and talents, reinforcing values of cooperation and equality, and providing everyone the opportunity to express themselves through music.

The participation of Their Highnesses reflected their commitment to education and the empowerment of children and youth, particularly persons with disabilities. Their support aims to enable these individuals to reach platforms of creativity and community participation.

The Bunayat Center for Special Education, established in 1974 under Princess Sarvath's patronage, was the first of its kind in Jordan to support persons with disabilities. It has played a central role in providing educational and rehabilitative services, focusing on empowerment and community inclusion, and adopting the latest educational and rehabilitative methods.

The ABS, established in 1981 by Prince El Hassan and Princess Sarvath, is among the leading educational institutions in Jordan. It was the first school in the Kingdom to adopt the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, continuing to provide education based on innovation, character development, and active citizenship within a world-class learning environment.

Sponsorship of this event underscores ongoing support for initiatives that allow children and youth, especially those with disabilities, to participate, create, and express themselves in safe and inclusive environments.
