Ain al basha: The Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) uncovered illegal connections to main water supply lines during an inspection campaign in the Ain Al Basha area, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation said Monday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation revealed unauthorized connections diverting water to a residential complex and a storage tank, along with illegal tanker filling and tampered water meters aimed at siphoning water off the grid. Crews disconnected the illegal lines, restored the mains, and filed formal incident reports. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators under national water protection laws, according to the ministry.
