Amman, July 17 (Petra)–The Ministry of Transport organized an awareness workshop on quality management system (QMS), in response to international requirements and in application of the air safety standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Addressing the opening ceremony on Sunday, the ministry’s media spokesperson, Ali Odaibat, said the workshop aims to contribute to air aviation protection aimed to obtaining QMS certificate (ISO 9001:2015), within the scope of Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD)’s services provided to the Kingdom’s civil aviation sector.
On the event’s goals, he said the ministry sought to train ministry and JMD employees to re-align operations to achieve QMS (ISO 9001:2015) requirements.
The workshop, he noted, will acquaint participants with QMS and provide the basis for completing training workshops designed for certified QMS auditors and subsequent courses.
This effort will pave the way for Ministry of Transport to achieve a key strategic goal, which primarily contributes to life and property protection and raise level of institutional performance, he pointed out
