Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon Set to Support Gaza Relief Efforts.

Aqaba: The Jordanian Marathon Association, known as "Run Jordan," is finalizing preparations for the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon, scheduled for Friday, December 7, in Aqaba. This year's marathon, the 18th edition, is held under the patronage of His Highness Prince Firas bin Raad and carries the theme "Run for Noble Causes," highlighting the association's dedication to health, fitness, and community-centered charitable activities. According to Jordan News Agency, 20% of the ticket sales will be donated to aid relief efforts in Gaza through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, infusing a humanitarian element into the annual sporting event. Lina Al-Kurd, General Director of Run Jordan, expressed excitement about the event, citing Aqaba's appealing mix of natural beauty and tourism facilities, which enhance the experience for participants and spectators alike. Participants can register online at www.RunJordan.com until November 30 in Amman, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In Aqaba, registration is available at t he Aqaba Stadium from November 26 until December 6, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The marathon is organized in collaboration with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and has been sponsored for 18 consecutive years by Ayla Oasis Development Company. Gold sponsors include the Greater Amman Municipality, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the Aqaba Development Corporation. Support from media, advertising organizations, security agencies, and charitable groups ensures that the marathon successfully integrates sports, tourism, and philanthropy into a national celebration.
