Bashir and Italian Ambassador Explore Enhancing Parliamentary Ties

Amman: Head of the Lower House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee, MP Dina Bashir, held discussions with Italian Ambassador to Jordan, Luciano Pizzuti, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly at the parliamentary level.

According to Jordan News Agency, Bashir emphasized the Jordanian-Italian relations, highlighting both countries' commitment to expanding joint cooperation in various fields. She expressed appreciation for the mutual partnership, especially in economic, trade, and investment sectors, and encouraged leveraging Jordan's investment climate.

Bashir also outlined Jordan's positions on regional and international issues under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, with a primary focus on the Palestinian cause. On a regional scale, she reiterated Jordan's support for ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip and its ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to its people.

The Italian envoy recognized the King's significant role in promoting regional security and stability. He praised Jordan's support for the Palestinian people and underscored the importance of continuing joint coordination and cooperation, particularly in humanitarian and political spheres. He also mentioned several cooperation agreements between Jordan and Italy.
