The BRICS group on Wednesday called for the admission of the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders to the United Nations and an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. "The BRICS countries condemn Israeli attacks on civilian and humanitarian sites and infrastructure in Palestine, and call for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon," the group said in a final statement at a meeting of its leaders in the Russian city of Kazan.
